Boney Mountain Hike From Newbury Park

I think it is great to get outside for exercise and typically I do mountain biking in Sycamore Canyon or somewhere through Dos Vientos. This weekend, I decided to go with a buddy up to the top of Boney Mountain from Newbury Park up to Sandstone peak. The hike took about 6 hours and it was 11 miles round trip. We would have finished in 5 hours, but I twisted my ankle twice on the way down which made for a long day!
