Kettlebell Goblet Squat - Fitness On The Run Show S1E6
Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 8:59PM The Kettlebell Goblet Squat is a great exercise for making gains in your squatting abilities, leg strength, core strength, and when using the Indo Board, balance training. Here, Jon goes through a progression of the Goblet Squat first with a kettlebell, then performing a kettlebell front raise while squatting. To make it a balance training exercise, use an unstable surface like the Indo Board to increase proprioception and muscle activation without an increased load of weight. To make it even more challenging, add a kettlebell front raise while on the Indo Board. Remember, while on the indo board, floor surface is very important. Doing this on a harder surface will make it quicker, a thicker surface like grass will slow down the board’s movement and make it easier to balance.

Never new why it was called a "Goblet Squat".....good core exercise holding the kettlebell this way.
Great information on how to perform the squat with a kettlebell.
Great video! Kettlebells are superior workout tools. If you are looking to buy kettlebell dvds, you can compare over 40 kettlebell dvd here - Kettlebell dvd.
I have also practiced balance and core techniques using a Buso ball. I will be interested in trying the Indo board because it looks a little more difficult.
